1. How a booking works

• The trek is run by an organizer. They set the route, the dates and the price, they lead the walk, and they are the people on the mountain with you.
• The sale is with us. We buy the departure from the organizer and sell it in our own name, so your contract for the booking is with TrexHive: we take the payment, we issue the tax invoice, and a refund comes from us.
• Which means one number to ring for each thing. The organizer for anything about the trek itself — where to board, what to carry, whether the weather has changed it. Us for anything about money.

2. Who we check before an organisation can sell

An organisation cannot publish a departure here until it has given us its GST registration, its PAN, and public liability cover that has not expired — with the documents themselves on file, not just the numbers typed into a form. That is a condition of being listed rather than a badge, and it is checked again every time a departure is published.

It is not a safety inspection, and we do not claim it is one. It tells you the organisation is a real registered business carrying insurance; it does not tell you the route is easy.

3. What we are still building

The honest answer is: a good deal. Reviews are not open yet, so nothing on a trek page is a rating. The catalogue is small and the range is the Sahyadris only. We would rather say that here than have you discover it by looking for something that is not there.
